Karma and Langtang Village relief fund

Rs 220,000 has been handed to Karma Lama from Langtang village. Courtesy of Chantal and Albert Crocombette. This is the second contribution they have made for the families of Langtang village.

Funds handed over on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA

Kami Tshering Sherpa, resident of Khumjung Village had his houses damaged severely. He is a guide and a lodge owner. KSP handed him $ 3000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Karma Sherpa currently residing in Kathmandu has been handed $ 500 to help with his village in Kerung-4, Solukhumbu.
Nawang Sherpa of Chyangba-1, Tapting VDC is a carpenter, farmer and trekking guide. KSP handed him $ 1000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Sukmaya Tamang is from the village of Kerung-4, Solukhumbu and a mother of 9 children. Her husband was a cook/ guide who died while on a trek in 2012 due to an avalanche in the mountains. KSP handed him $ 1500 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Lhakpa Sherpa is a trekking guide, mountaineer and Everest Summitter who lives in Phortse, Khumbu. KSP handed him $ 1000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Ang Pemba Sherpa is a trekking cook from the village of Khumjung VDC. His house suffered extensive damage due to the earthquake and KSP handed him $ 1000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Ram Saran Magar is a trekking cook from the village of Kimding-5, Kerung VDC Solukhumbu. His house suffered extensive damage due to the earthquake and KSP handed him $ 1000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Chimi Sherpa comes from the village of Khumjung, Khumbu and his wife is a teacher at the village school. Chimi is a very resourceful person and also works as a Manager at La Villa Sherpani in Lukla. His house suffered extensive damage due to the earthquake. KSP handed him $ 1000 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Mama Nima Yangi is from Khumjung Village and a very lively woman. Her house had been badly damaged however she keeps a big smile as she rebuilt with the help of her family and the villagers. KSP handed him $ 500 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.
Hama Serki is also from Khumjung village. She lost her husband a week before the earthquake. KSP handed him $ 500 on behalf of Pack, Paddle and Ski, USA.

Funds handed over on behalf of Elise Arbez and friends

Phurba Gyalzen Tamang has been in the trekking profession for many years following his father’s foot step. His dream is to open a museum in his village dedicated to his father Late Manaram Tamang who is possibly the only Nepalses to have worked at the Princess Elisabeth Station in Antartica as part of the Belgian Polar Foundation. Gyalzen’s house and village also suffered from the earthquake. KSP handed him Euro 1500 thanks to Elise Arbez and friends.
JB Krishna Thapa a professional trekking cook who currently rents a small house in Kathmandu. He also runs a small clothing shop to support his family. KSP handed him Euro 1500 thanks to Elise Arbez and friends.
